Responsibilities

  • Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the residents’ needs;
  • Develop, revise and implement the resident care profiles;
  • Order, administer and store medications and treatments in compliance with the policies of the facility, pharmacy and standards of the College of Nurses;
  • Provide direct patient care
  • Practice under the CNO standards
  • Follow facility policies and procedures
  • Provide direct patient care in a hospital setting
  • Practice under the College of Nurses’ standards

Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing ADL, feeding, dressing, bathing, transferring, incontinence care and ensuring patient safety. Providing transportation and light housekeeping may also be a part of the job.

The successful candidate will have the following:

PSWs must have current CPR/First Aid certification and vulnerable sector police clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the client with personal care such as dressing, personal hygiene, mobility, toileting, eating, and other routines of daily living, allowing each to do as much as possible for him/herself.
  • Medication monitoring and assistance- follow medication procedures to assist clients with medications.
  • Assist the client with appropriate socialization activities as per the client’s choice and emotional needs.
  • Demonstrate initiative and professionalism at all times with residents, families, and community contacts.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be a multi tasker with excellent patient relations and demonstrate ability to take ownership of clinic operations. Knowledge of OHIP billing and clinic software is required and experience with CPSO/IHF quality assessments for diagnostic clinic is also a requirement.

Will be responsible for seamlessly running the medical clinic/s and performing duties such as:

 

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Provide administrative assistance to management team
  2. Identifies opportunities for improving quality of services delivered, monitoring customer satisfaction, gathering feedback, benchmarking to industry standards and providing recommendations on ways to improve efficiency, quality and productivity
  3. Develops, negotiates and manages vendor relationships; oversees purchasing and material management activities, manages supply inventories, requesting quotations, verifies and processes purchase order requests, updates system entries.
  4. Conducts site visits between 2-3 clinics in the Toronto area
  5. Maintain the professional appearance of the office
  6. Provides job guidance to new recruits
  7. OHIP billing, transcription, dicta-typing and other related duties
  8. Prepares daily reports and presents weekly progress updates
  9. Coordinate and book procedures and confirm booked appointments day prior to appointment
  10. Maintain electronic medical records
  11. Management of patients flow within the clinic
  12. Understands the clinic quality assessment process and participates in the preparation of assessments
  13. Establish and maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with all patients and fellow members
  14. Keep up-to-date with regulatory and industry developments in the market
  15. Answering phones, taking messages, and greeting patients and responding to email inquiries
  16. Perform clerical duties, such as filing and sorting and distributing mail
  17. Preparing patient charts/health records
  18. Prepare and maintain staff duty rooster
  19. Follow PIPEDA guidelines
  20. Provide educational support duties as needed to interns and/or clinical placement students
  21. Assume other responsibilities and office duties as required
  22. Daily interactions with students, patients (and their families), medical personnel, and other support staff within the clinic

Qualifications

  • University or college degree (preferred) with a concentration in healthcare
  • A minimum of 3+ years of previous experience in a medical office setting
  • Experience using medical database scheduling and billing software
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a particular attention to detail
  • Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and act independently while using sound judgment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, within a team environment and willing to pitch in where help is needed
  • Must be able to act as a coach and team lead
  • Superior interpersonal skills that will allow you to work well with a diverse group of individuals
  • Strong communications skills (both verbal and written)
  • Working knowledge of EMR software
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and health care team

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations
  • Explain procedures to patients so they feel comfortable with the experience include preparing the patient for examination, reviewing patient history and obtaining images of diagnostic quality according to organizational protocol.
  • Uses sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images
  • Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
  • Notify Physicians of any abnormalities or concerns immediately
  • Analyses; sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, medical history, and communicates and chart ultrasound results/findings to the appropriate physician according to established procedures
  • Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort and well-being of all patients while they are in the sonographer’s care
  • Assists with the daily operations of the clinic
  • Maintains a daily log of patients seen/completes exam billing forms
  • Participates in the maintenance of clinic accreditation
  • Maintain and control all ultrasound equipment
  • Refrain from commenting on your work to patients
  • See patients on time and reschedule patients as necessary
  • Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all patients and fellow members
  • Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided
  • Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as assigned
  • Reports equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member
  • Provide educational support duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Current registration in good standing with the CMRTO
  • Liability Insurance is a requirement
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Follow PIPEDA guidelines
  • Should be well versed in infection control requirements and procedures
  • Work based on all regulations and ALARA principles
  • Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as required by the CMRTO
  • 2-3 years of practical experience is the required minimum
  • Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations
